This tech is called EyePrintPRO and uses an impression or “mold” of the eye to create a highly customized scleral lens.
The mold is then scanned by a laser and a large machine takes 30 minutes per eye to create a custom scleral lens.
This scleral lens is special because it curves around all the lumps and bumps on your eye (nobody’s eye is spherical, or even symmetric) to perfect the fit!
The more precise the fit, the better the comfort, the less fogging you will experience, and the higher the potential to see more clearly than conventional scleral lenses.
The molding material is very comfortable and doesn’t hurt at all - no anesthetic required!
Great for people with keratoconus, corneal transplants, radial keratotomy, retinal surgeries, glaucoma surgeries, etc.
